Yes, from what I’ve read you can either heat the nuts to a high temperature or soak in hot oil.

If you simply heat the nuts to extract the oil, it should exude the oil which then will ignite into thick, black smoke. On the other hand, the hot oil method works because it will extract any oil substances from the cashew nut and urushiol is within the cashew oil. Hope that helps!
