I’ve dabbled in home brewing and yogurt making but for some reason coffee roasting has never really crossed my mind! I think it sounds super fun though. I wonder if one of the main issues with the air popper is that the beans don’t get stirred? The roasters I’ve seen always have some sort of mixing device to prevent burning. Maybe that’s what happened to your friend?
